Wish there was a way to fix this, or just improve the performances in general without making such a drastic change in the graphics. Only changing to borderless fixes the issue, but then I have the usual problems you get with borderless like weird framepacing / stuttering and such. I tried changing it to tripple buffered vsync in the nvidia control panel, but for some reason it's still the same. I also noticed that the v-sync for me acts like a double buffered vsync, meaning that if the framerate drops below 60, it immediatly locks itself to 30, no inbetween. But the shadow drawing distance at medium is really bad, you can see the shadows being drawn right in front of you and big parts of the environment missing their lighting. Max and high are identical with the same impact on performance, but lowering shadows to medium made it go from 52 fps at 99% gpu usage, to 60 fps with 70% gpu usage, quite a difference. I tried different settings and I noticed it's caused by the shadows. In most places it's fine, though the GPU usage is most of the time rather high (around 80%), but in some places I get fps drops to the low 50s, in places that don't seem that demanding, sometimes even in interiors. Having performance issues on a GTX 1080 here, in 1080p.
